India Adds Four New Ramsar Sites
On 1st February 2025, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) announced the addition of four new Ramsar sites, bringing India’s total to 89 Ramsar Sites.
- This milestone marks the first-ever Ramsar sites for Sikkim and Jharkhand.
