Gujarat Launches New Industrial Policy 2020
- On 7th August, 2020, Gujarat government announced the new Industrial Policy 2020 for the State.
- The earlier industrial policy of the state was published in 2015 that came to an end in December 2019.
- It has been extended up to the release of a new policy or December 31, 2020, whichever is earlier.
Objective
- The policy stresses on bringing investments for job creation, value-addition, adoption of state-of-the-art technology, increasing productivity with Industry 4.0 manufacturing, and creating an innovation-driven ecosystem.
