India and the Baltic Cooperation
On 22nd August, 2019 the Vice-President of India completed his 5-day official tour to the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The visit was aimed at strengthening the bilateral engagements with the three nations, besides giving the relationships a fresh impetus in the context of a changing global order.
Highlights of the Visit
- The Vice-President underscored the huge scope for expansion of commercial and economic relations between India and Lithuania and between India and Latvia.
- In a joint statement India and Estonia reiterated their resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
