Ayushman Bharat Schemes Reaches Milestone Before Time
- On 21st March, Ministry of Health and Family welfare (MoHFW) informed that the government has achieved its planned target of operationalising 70,000 Ayushman Bharat- health and wellness centres (AB-HWCs) ahead of time.
- The government had earlier set March 31 as the deadline for realising the target.

- It is a part of India’s National Health Policy 2017 which aims to provide free health coverage at the secondary and tertiary level to its bottom 40% poor and vulnerable population.
