Transport & Marketing Assistance (TMA) Scheme to Boost Agriculture Exports
- On 5th March, 2019, the government introduced a scheme for providing financial assistance for transport and marketing of agriculture products with a view to boosting exports of farm commodities to certain countries in Europe and North America.
- Nodal Ministry: The Department of Commerce under the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
- Aim: The scheme aims to provide support for the international component of freight and marketing of agricultural produce which is likely to mitigate the disadvantage of the higher cost of transportation of export of specified agriculture products.
