PM-STIAC Identifies Nine Missions
Why in news?
The Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Council (PM-STIAC) has identified nine national missions to address major scientific challenges to ensure India’ssustainable development.
Missions
The nine missions identified are:
Mission 1: Natural Language Translation
Objective
- Make science accessible to all: This mission aims to remove the barrier that the requirement of high-level of facility in English poses today to make opportunities and progress in science and technology accessible to all.
- Bilingual Material for easy access: Using a combination of machine and human translation, the mission will eventually enable access to teaching and research material ....
