Green Audit Launched at Meenachil River
- On 30th March, 2019, the Meenachil River Protection Forum, a people’s collective for river conservation, has kick-started a ‘green audit’ of the water body to account for its fluctuations due to human intervention.
- Forum aims at assessing problems posed by human interventions.
- A thorough examination of the risks faced by the river and its relationship with a host of other natural systems will go a long way in restoring the system.
