Pradhan Mantri JI-VAN Yojana
- On March 2, 2019, Government of India launched “Pradhan MantriJI-VAN (Jaiv Indhan- Vatavaran Anukool Fasal Awashesh Nivaran) Yojana” for providing financial support to Integrated Bioethanol Projects using lignocellulosic biomass and other renewable feedstock.
- Centre for High Technology (CHT), a technical body under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will be the implementation agency for the scheme.
Objectives
- To facilitate financial support to Integrated Bioethanol Projects using lignocellulosic biomass and other renewable feedstock.
- To supplement the targets envisaged by Central Government under Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) programme.
