There are very few countries which are completely unaffected from the COVID 19 pandemic; in this three Asian countries are North Korea, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan has a unique feature as it is said to have extremely poor healthcare conditions with ill-qualified, incapable workers. Turkmenistan has a history of suppressing facts, especially those relating to public health and outbreaks, including the plague. Many citizens and healthcare workers have expressed fear about even discussing the novel coronavirus, due to a supposed “ban” on the word ‘coronavirus’.
