Coffee Blockchain Initiative
- On 29th March, Coffee Board, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, launched blockchain based coffee e-marketplace.
- With this, the Coffee Board of India has taken the third spot in launching a blockchain coffee trading app, after France and Ethiopia.
Aim
- To Bring More Transparency: Blockchain will reduce the number of layers between coffee growers and buyers and help farmers double their income. This project will also bring transparency among farmers and buyers.
