Cheraw Dance
Cheraw dance of Mizoram and Garo dance of Meghalaya was performed at the International Dance Day celebrations in London on April 27, 2019.
- Cheraw dance is one of the folk dances of north eastern state of Mizoram.
- Similar dance forms found in East Asia like in Philippines are known as Tinikling.
- It is usually referred to as ‘Bamboo Dance’ because it uses long bamboo staves in the dance.
