Boda Tyohar
On 10th January 2025, Boda Tyohar started in Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh. It is the biggest annual festival of about three lakh Hatti tribes of the Trans-Giri here.
Distinct Phases of the Festival
Bodhto
- The first day of the festival, Bodhto, sees families preparing traditional delicacies such as Pude, Bedoli, Patanday, Dhroti, and Gudoli.
Bhatioj
- The second day, Bhatioj, is dedicated to community gatherings at the Sanjha Angan, a communal courtyard typically owned by the village head, or Siyana.
- The next morning of “Bhatioj”, all men rush to the places of their married sisters with ‘Saje ....
