Swachh- Nirmal Tat Abhiyaan
Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change undertook a mass cleanliness- cum-awareness drive in 50 identified beaches under the programme called ‘Swachh- Nirmal Tat Abhiyaan’, from 11 -17 November 2019.
Aim of the Mission
- To strive to make coastal areas across the country clean.
- To create awareness amongst citizens about the importance of coastal ecosystems
Highlights of the Project
- The government has identified beaches which are in 10 coastal States/Union Territories (UTs) namely Gujarat, Daman & Diu, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha.
- The cleaning drives in all beaches were undertaken, involving school/college ....
