Constitution of Two New Cabinet Committees
- On 5th June, 2019, Prime Minister set up two new cabinet committees under his chairmanship to focus on two key concerns - investment and employment.
- The new committees will finalise policies to push growth, investment and employment with special focus on skill development.
Cabinet Committee on Investments
- It will be chaired by Prime Minister and will have Home, Finance, Railway and Transport Ministers as its members.
- It will be a crucial special purpose vehicle for fulfilling government’s promise to invest 100 lakh crore in infrastructure in next five years.
