SATHI Initiative to bring Scientific Research & Commercial Activity under One Roof
- The Finance Minister in her budget speech announced Government’s plan to set up five Sophisticated Analytical and Technical Help Institutes (SATHIs) every year, over the next four years.
- Three such facilities are currently operational, one each at IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi and Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
- Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, will run this innovative scheme.
