Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on February 19 expanded his two-member Cabinet with induction of ten members. KCR was sworn in for a second term on December 13, 2018.

- More than two months on he had not formed his council of ministers, making it perhaps the first instance in independent India where a chief minister had run a state without ministers for such a long period.
- The delay in Cabinet expansion had drawn fire from opposition parties who contended that it amounted violation of constitutional norms
