​Romania, Bulgaria and Greece Sign Strategic Deal

  • On 11th July, 2024, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece signed an agreement to facilitate rapid cross-border movement of troops and weapons through military mobility corridors to NATO's eastern flank.
  • The deal aims to address the increased urgency for NATO and the EU to enhance rapid response capabilities due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
  • The planned corridor will streamline transport routes, including road and rail supply lines, between the participating states, reducing bureaucracy and increasing efficiency during emergencies.
