- The Tiger Orchid is the largest orchid species globally and is recognized for its splendid flowers with brown spots against a yellow backdrop, resembling tigers.
- Grammatophyllum speciosum is native to countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos.
- The flowering of Tiger Orchids begins in June and continues until August, attracting orchid enthusiasts to the Palode institute during this three-month period.
