Organic Farming in India
Significance
- Better Taste: Because they grow slowly and aren't artificially pumped with chemicals, fruits and vegetables that are cultivated organically have a far greater flavour and more nutrition.
- Environmentally Friendly: Organic farming uses fewer pesticides and chemicals, which helps to mitigate a number of serious environmental problems.
- Better Fertility: Crop rotation boosts soil fertility, and raising animals naturally promotes biodiversity, which enhances all living things' health more broadly.
- Energy Conservation: Unlike conventional farming, organic farming does not rely on synthetic fertilizers, which helps to forward the cause of energy conservation. Organic farming practices use at least 30 to 50 percent less energy.
