- Loss of Lives: According to National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB), India reported 1722 cases of custodial deaths from 2001 to 2018. The most disastrous consequence is the loss of an innocent person that led to loss of trust in legal system. It again perpetrates violence in the society in name of revenge.
- Violation of Human Rights: Extra Judicial Killing is a violation of right to life and personal liberty provided by Article 21 of the Constitution. It is also a violation of right to fair trial and due process of law.
