​India to Fund Launch of Nepali Satellite

  • On 10th August, 2024, India committed to funding the launch of Munal, a satellite developed by high school students in Nepal, through a grant from NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), following a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
  • Munal, a 1U CubeSat designed by nine Nepali students, measures 113.5 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm and weighs approximately 1.09 kg.
