To address India’s linguistic and cultural diversity, the BharatGen project was launched on September 30, 2024, aiming to develop multilingual, multimodal Generative AI.
- BharatGen was developed by TIH Foundation for IoT & IoE under NM-ICPS
- Completion Target: July 2026

Bharat Data Sagar: A core component building a vast India-centric data repository to train AI on local linguistic and cultural content. It will:
