Special Provisions for Some States
Special Assistance Measure (SAM) extended to Andhra Pradesh in lieu of Special Category States (SCS) Status
The Special Assistance Measure to the Successor State of Andhra Pradesh was extended in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the recommendations of the Finance Commissions, and the NITI Aayog report.
SAM will be provided as a loan payback and interest payment for the State's Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) signed and disbursed from 2015-16 to 2019-20.
