Inter-State River Disputes in India
Under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act (APRA) of 2014, the Ministry of Jal Shakti has notified the Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) and Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) of their jurisdiction.

- Under Seventh schedule, Entry 17 of State List deals with water i.e., water supply, irrigation, canal, drainage, embankments, water storage and water power and entry 56 of Union List gives power to the Union Government for the regulation and development of inter-state rivers and river valleys.
