India-China Relations
India and China celebrated 72 years of establishment of diplomatic/bureaucratic relationship. The diplomatic relationship was started in 1950.
Trade: In the year 2019, India was the 12th largest trade partner of China.
- The total bilateral trade registered a reduction of 2.93% year on year to reach US $ 92.89 billion. It reached US$ 115.4 billion in 2021-22.
Exports and Imports: India’s exports to China decreased by 4.55% y-o-y to US $17.97 billion, and India’s imports from China also witnessed a drop by 2.54% to US $ 74.92 billion.
