Total Engaged: A total of 43,797 people engaged in manual scavenging, with over 42,500 belonging to the Scheduled Castes.
Caste Dynamics: 42,594 (97.25 per cent) of those engaging in manual scavenging are from the SCs, 421 from the STs, and 431 from OBCs.
