Cri-du-chat also called as cat’s cry or 5P- (5P minus) syndrome, is a rare genetic condition caused by the deletion of genetic material on the small arm of chromosome 5. Common symptoms include a high-pitched cat-like cry, growth deficiencies, diminished muscle tone (hypotonia), and microcephaly.
