- Sustainable intensification is a concept related to a production system aiming to increase the yield without adverse environmental impact while cultivating the same agricultural area.
- In this context, novel nanomaterials based on the use of inorganic, polymeric, and lipid nanoparticles, synthesized by exploiting different techniques (e.g., emulsification, ionic gelation, polymerization, oxydoreduction, etc) have been developed to increase productivity.
