World’s First Trial Using Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPS)

In February, 2019, Japan approves world-first clinical trial using iPS stem cells to treat spinal cord injuries. The researchers will inject neural cells produced from so-called induced pluripotent stem cells into four people who sustained injuries while playing sports or in traffic accidents.
