Government Launches Revised Model Skill Loan Scheme
On 25th July, 2024, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship launched a revised Model Skill Loan Scheme to support youth in skill development courses.
Rationale behind Revamping the Scheme
- In absence of a vibrant skill loan market, many youth leave without the necessary financial support to pursue their skill training.
- The new Model Skill Loan Scheme is the revised version of the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Skill Development (CCFSSD) launched in July 2015.
