Challenges Faced
- Attitudinal Barriers: Stereotyping, in which people sometimes assume that persons with disabilities have a bad quality of life or are unwell as a result of their impairments, is an example of an attitude barrier. Stigma, prejudice, and discrimination, i.e., people may view a handicap as something that has to be treated or prevented, as a penalty for misbehaviour, or as a sign that a person is unable to behave in a way that is required of them by society.
