Skilling for the Future with e-learning
- In 2014 Union Budget allocated Rs 100 crore for virtual classrooms under Communication – Linked Interface for Cultivating Knowledge (CLICK).
- The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) was launched in 2015 with objective to deliver skills to the youth of the country through short term training (STT) and recognition of prior learning (RPL).
- About 1.40 crore candidates have been trained/oriented under PMKVY as per Skill India Digital till December 13, 2023.
- Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) launched on 2023 is the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for skilling, education, employment, and entrepreneurship ecosystem of India.
