Recently, a boat carrying migrants sank in Mediterranean Sea.

Geographical Features

  • Intercontinental sea that stretches from Atlantic Ocean (west) to Asia (east) andseparates Europe from Africa.
  • Bordering Countries include Europe (West to East): Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and Cyprus.
  • Asia (north to south): Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Israel.
  • Africa (east to west): Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
  • Bordering Cities: Athens, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Beirut, Venice, Rome.
  • Connected to Atlantic Ocean by Strait of Gibraltar and Red Sea by Suez Canal.
  • Sea of Marmara (part of Mediterranean Sea,) connected to Black Sea via Bosphorus Strait, and Aegean ....
