​National Test House (NTH)

  • On 3rd September, 2024, a MoU was signed between National Test House (NTH), Department of Consumer Affairs and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, to strengthen the Standards & Labelling (S&L) Program, a crucial initiative designed to promote energy efficiency across the country.
  • Established in 1912, NTH is a premier institution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.
  • It is India's largest multi-location multidisciplinary industrial central government's testing laboratory dealing with almost all sorts of testing, calibration and quality evaluation related to industry, commerce, trade.
