  • He was a historian who was President of the Kerala History Congress known for his studies in Dalit and Christian history in Kerala. He was given the title Dalit Bandhu by Dalit organizations in 1990. In 2019, for outstanding contributions in the field of Malayalam literature, he was awarded the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Overall Contributions. ....
