Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR)
Scientific social responsibility can be summed up as the moral duty of knowledge workers in the sciences and technologies to freely share their expertise and resources with the broadest possible range of societal stakeholders, in the spirit of reciprocity and service.
- The Department of Science and Technology has recently released the Scientific social responsibility (SSR) guidelines 2022. Important provisions include –
- All Central Government Ministries and State Governments would plan and strategize their SSR in accordance with their respective mandates.
