  • Niti Aayog in December 2016, unveiled a new vision document, strategy document and an action plan for India and done away with the old five-year plan scheme.
  • Remember This:Year 2016-17 was the last year of the implementation of the five-year plan.

Three Year Action Agenda

  • In April 2017, NITI Aayog released its Three-Year Action Agenda Document, a comprehensive framework for proposed policy changes to be implemented in the short term in India.
