Roberta Metsola
- Following the death of European Parliament President David Sassoli, Roberta Metsola Tedesco Triccas has taken over as head of the European Parliament.
- The Maltese is only the third woman to hold this position, after French Auschwitz survivor Simone Veil and Nicole Fontaine, also from France.
