Svamitva Scheme
On the occasion of the National Panchayati Raj Day (24th April 2023), the Uttar Pradesh state government completed the distribution of 55,14,921 ‘gharaunis’ (rural house records) under the Svamitva scheme.
About Svamitva Scheme
- SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) scheme was launched on National Panchayati Raj Day, 24th April 2021 after successful completion of pilot phase of scheme (2020-2021) in 9 states.
Objectives
- Creation of accurate land records for rural planning and reduce property related disputes.
