ESA’s Juice Mission
On April 14, 2023, the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) was successfully launched from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.
- The launch vehicle for Juice is the Ariane 5 launcher, and it will take over six years to reach the Jupiter system.
- The mission is expected to last for at least three and a half years once it arrives in the Jupiter system.

- Focus on Ganymede: The mission will focus mainly on Jupiter’s icy moon Ganymede, which is the largest moon in the Solar System and the only one to generate its own magnetic field.
