External Affairs Minister of India called on the President of Comoros on the side lines of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on 20 September, 2022, and discussed issues related to development partnership and maritime security.
Background
- India established diplomatic relations with the Union of Comoros in June 1976.
- In November 2012, Comoros joined Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) – a regional forum comprising coastal countries bordering the Indian Ocean.
