National Creche Scheme(NCS)
- Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) is implementing the NCS to provide day care facilities to children (age group of months to 6 years) of working mothers.
- It was previously known as the Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme for the children of working mothers.
- Scheme provides an integrated package of the following services:
- Day-care Facilities including Sleeping Facilities
- Supplementary Nutrition (to be locally sourced)
- Growth Monitoring
- Health Check-up and Immunization
