On 24th November 2024, the 29th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) concluded with a pledge of $300 billion in climate finance for developing countries by 2035. Held in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Summit aimed to address critical issues like equitable finance, carbon markets and emission reduction targets.
