The Syrian Golan
- India voted in favour of a draft resolution in the United Nations General Assembly expressing deep concern over Israel's non-withdrawal from the Syrian Golan.
- The UNGA, with 193 members, voted on the draft resolution 'The Syrian Golan' under the agenda item 'The situation in the Middle East' on November 28.
- Introduced by Egypt, the resolution is adopted with 91 in favour, eight against, and 62 abstentions in a recorded vote.
- Countries supporting the resolution include Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates.
- Opposing the resolution are Australia, Canada, Israel, the U.K., and the U.S.
