PM Launches Welfare Schemes for Tribal Groups
On 15th November, 2023, on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, Prime Minister launched two new initiatives- Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM PVTG) Mission and PM Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) for the upliftment of the tribal groups in the country.
About the PM PVTG Mission
- It aims for the holistic development of 75 PVTGs in 18 States and UTs living in 22544 villages (220 districts) having a population of around 28 lakhs.
