Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2023

On 26th November, 2023, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying released the Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2023 report. The Statistics is based on the Animal Integrated Sample Survey conducted between March 2022 and February 2023.

Milk Production

  • Total Milk Production: Total milk production in the country is estimated as 230.58 million tonnes during 2022-23.It registered a growth of 22.81%over the past 5 years which was 187.75 million tonnes in 2018-19.
