Preventive strategies like lockdown and physical distancing might have led to social isolation, unemployment, loneliness, and inadequate access to essential commodities, which have impacted psychosocial wellbeing. The mental health impacts of this pandemic are more severe among individuals with existing mental health problems or those who were already exposed to psychological risk factors.
