- Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI): Established in 1962 and headquartered in Ballabhgarh, Haryana, the AWBI operates as a statutory advisory body under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. Led by key figure Rukmini Devi Arundale, it advises governments on animal welfare matters and provides grants to animal welfare organizations.
