5th Nagaland Honey Bee Day
- Recently, the 5th Nagaland Honey Bee Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, under the theme “Bee & Honey Trials.”
- The deputy Chief Minister announced the opening of a “Honey Hub” at Kisama, creating a platform for the beekeeping community to exhibit and sell their products. This move aligns with the broader goal of promoting beekeeping as a sustainable and lucrative venture in Nagaland.
- Nagaland currently has over one lakh beekeepers. The Nagaland Beekeeping Mission (NBHM) has also added about 25,000 more with proper guidance for beekeeping covering about 500 villages.
