‘Pralay’ Ballistic Missile
On 25th December, 2022, the Ministry of Defence cleared a proposal to procure around 120 Pralay ballistic missiles, which will be deployed along the borders with China and Pakistan.
- The missile will be first inducted into the Indian Air Force, followed by the Indian Army.
- India had earlier successfully conducted the second flight test of Pralay with a heavier payload and a different range to prove the precision and lethality of the new weapon system.
About the Missile
- Type: Pralay is a quasi-ballistic surface-to-surface short-range missile.
